Welcome back to the Chagrin Falls Merchant Association Podcast where we’re talking all things Chagrin Falls and the businesses who reside here.
I joined Molly Gebler at the Inn of Chagrin this week to talk through all the exciting holiday events and opportunities happening this December.
This episode was produced by Megan Moran at Mompreneur Co. Studio.
Did you know there’s a beautiful meeting and studio space right here in the Falls? Take a virtual tour to see for yourself.
Molly, I'm so excited to have you back!
Welcome to the Inn of Chagrin! We’re in the Siriano suite for our recording today and it’s super cool to host YOU here.
If you're a small business owner and a member of the merchant association, recording at either Mompreneur Co. Studio or in your space for this podcast is free to you. This is part of your membership. And it's a huge value. Podcasts are where it's at.

Holiday Events in Chagrin Falls this December
The Merchants Association events committee has been working super, super hard with the Jaycees and the village to make sure that it's a well rounded, holiday season.
Old-Fashioned Carolers + Carriage Rides
First and foremost, we’ll have old-fashioned carolers roaming throughout town while you visit and shop AND the carriage rides are back thanks to the shopping plaza!
December 8th and the 15th are confirmed dates for sure. They are free rides. You just have to go to the shopping plaza and get a ticket. It's one ticket per person please.
Live Greens and Christmas Trees throughout town
I think we're the only village that still does live greens. We have live Christmas trees on our poles that are put up and lit up by the Jaycee's. I mean, that just doesn't happen. That's Norman Rockwell stuff right there.
Not to mention our tree in Triangle Park- one year it was the same size as the Rockefeller Center tree!
And then the Chamber of Commerce works with the Jaycee’s too to set up the tree walk at Riverside park. That’s where companies decorate the trees for another little contest.
Cash Splash- a chance to win $500!
I can't believe we're doing this! The Merchant’s Association is giving away $2,000 cash ($500 each) to 4 lucky patrons!
Here's how you can be part of it:
All you have to do is shop, drink, eat or stay at a Merchant Association member’s place in the month of November and December. Email us your receipt, as many receipts as you have, and that’s your entry.
If you don't know where to go, our members are listed here on our website.
On January 4th, we’ll have a live broadcast on our Facebook Page with the wheel of fun and everyone's name as many times will be put on the wheel. You only win once but pretty cool.
We just want to say, “Hey, we're the best place to shop, eat, dine, stay, play. And we just want to say thank you for doing that here.”
Window Wonderland Contest
The shops are excited! They’re decorating their windows for shoppers and visitors to vote on their favorite holiday design.
There'll be a QR code on their windows for you to place your vote. And they want to win because they're going to win a $500 prize along with their membership dues for next year and an exclusive trophy that’s being handmade by the Glass Asylum… and bragging rights, obviously.
Jingle and Mingle Shopping Event December 19th 6-8pm
The Jingle and Mingle Shopping Event is an after hour date at the stores. They stay open late for special deals and your last minute shopping.
Santa Claus in Whoville Saturday, December 21st 11am-2pm
Join Santa at the bandstand, along with:
Jovie
Elf
The Grinch
and some other surprises
while you're shopping. Make sure to stop and get your pictures taken in the triangle.
Shop Local this Holiday Season
Amazon is easy, it's convenient, it's quick. But I challenge everybody this holiday season to shop local.
These are our neighbors.
The purchase you make at Hedges or Shed or the Popcorn Shop truly supports people that live in this community.
And without these owners and shops and all of our support, then this magical place that is Chagrin Falls, wouldn’t be.
So let's return that love, especially during the holidays.
Visit in January too
It's a magical experience here and there's never a bad season to stay and play in Chagrin.
They keep the lights up two weeks after the holidays so I always tell people, especially here at the inn because we're pretty booked in December, to come visit then too.
The lights are still up, the shops are still open, our Christmas room is open at the Inn, and you can enjoy the town for YOU. You don't have that hustle and bustle, or worry about shopping or buying for others, the shopping can be solely for you.
There's never a bad time to come here.
P.S. Chagrin Falls was featured on PBS!
We are so excited that 6 of our amazing community members were highlighted along with the town on PBS Western Reserve.
